Every location in visual space is represented in the brain, a process that we refer to as retinotopic mapping. We expressed two colour fluorescent proteins in two different locations in the visual cortex of the mouse, which represents two distinct locations in visual space. We see a clear separation of these two colours in the thalamus, showcasing the precise organization of retinotopy in the brain.
